This global leader is available to provide analysis and opinion on the most relevant world business affairs. They also provide research that identifies business issues and trends. So candidates must have strong SAS skills having used SAS 9.1.3 Foundation within a Credit Risk environment for some time in the commercial arena. Ideally you would also have been doing some SAS scorecard development. Previous roles you may have been involved in could include working within Credit Risk on any products including Mortgages, Loans, Current Accounts, Credit Cards, Overdrafts, or within a Collections or SAS Modelling role.
It will be of benefit to have experience using:

Role
Credit Risk consists of 4 key units – SAS Decision Sciences, Portfolio Risk, Collections & Recoveries Strategy and Credit Strategy & Forecasting. SAS Decision Sciences is a focused team that is responsible for delivering on risk management related analytical projects across UK. The team has deep expertise in SAS modelling and SAS analytics and SAS data manipulation. Together with its own efforts to deliver modelling and decision systems to the bank, the team is responsible for bridging to the external vendor community to bring new innovative approaches and techniques to the organization. The SAS team will work closely with its partner within Group Marketing’s CVM team to ensure the organization is taking an integrated SAS risk-based marketing approach to the marketplace.
This role involves supporting the development and maintenance of ratings models and processes that are used by various clients for the purposes of calculating risk weighted assets for assessing the regulatory capital requirement for the Consumer Lending and Consumer Banking lending SAS scorecard products.
The Person
The ideal person for this role will be driven and also keen to work in a team that offers more of a consultancy service to the company. You will have experience of risk modelling in SAS, will have good analytical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. It is important you are a graduate in a numerate discipline with a clear ability in data modelling and risk. It is also important that you are motivated and keen to progress within the organisation. |

THE ROLE:

If you do not have hands on skills in any of these areas, you will be able to appreciate data modelling and insight techniques required for direct marketing strategy. You should be confident in a client facing / consultative capacity and be happy to build internal relationships and present strategy recommendations. You will take a strategic lead in campaign planning, design and testing and will promote the use of DM practices throughout the business.
