This role offers the opportunity to join a small team within a major financial services client.
The team is responsible for the implementation and support of quantitative risk models, and making the reporting process simpler.
Your role will be the development and deployment of computer based and the scope will involve undertaking data analysis and the automation of key reports and MI. You will talk to stakeholders in the business to understand their requirements, then build the systems to monitor and report risk. You will extract, manipulate and analyse data from the system, then automate the tasks and reports needed by the business.
To apply for this role you will need to be educated to MSc or ideally Phd level within physics, applied mathematics or similar, as well as having considerable experience within programming in languages such as S-plus/R, C/C++, SQL, VBA, FORTRAN or MATLAB. The team is S-plus based, however they will look at backgrounds within other languages. Any experience of regression analysis or modelling is beneficial, however not essential, and you will need to be inquisitive and enjoy solving problems.
The successful candidate can expect a salary up to £40k plus benefits.
