Pricing Manager- Role Overview
A well-established insurance company are looking for a Pricing Manager to come on board and lead the Pricing team. You will have the opportunity to develop this area within the business and will work closely with junior members of the team, leading and directing the analytics and strategies that will ultimately drive business decisions.
As a Pricing Manager, you will be using a wide range of data and resources to really understand the place of the company within the market with regard to customer propositions, price points and customer acquisitions and retention. You will use SPSS / SQL / SAS - based analysis to really understand customer behaviour and customer response to price points, and use your findings to develop strategies that will improve customer propositions and make products more attractive to consumers within the market. You will use the data analysis to understand customer behaviour, including customer loyalty, and use these findings to develop pricing strategies moving forward.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Pricing Analyst / Pricing Manager looking for a broad role with lots of opportunities to progress, as you will be hands on with the data, using SPSS / SAS /SQL for the analysis, but also devise strategy that will allow the company to remain competitive and attract new customers as well as retain their current customers. You will also have the opportunity to work across a portfolio of insurance products, and manage a Pricing Analyst within the team.
The Person
A suitable applicant will have the following experience:
" A degree, or equivalent (2:1 or above) in a numerate subject such as mathematics or statistics
" Excellent SPSS / SQL / SAS skills for data analysis and advanced statistical techniques and experience working with large and varied datasets
" A good understanding of pricing / competitor analysis / advanced analytics / marketing analytics / customer insight
" Experience working in insurance / financial services / retail / telecoms / FMCG would be advantageous
